That's right, Grand Theft Auto 4 is available for purchase in a store near you. And let me say, it is the greatest game in the world at this point in time. The main character, Niko Bellic, is truly one bad ass mother fucker (says Sam Jackson). So drive out and buy it today. Hell, buy it, steal it, steal your friends copy, whatever you gotta do... JUST GET IT!

Sunday, April 20th, 2008 Fox News in Chicago reports the weekend in Chicago was a violent one with over 2 dozen people shot. This sparked outrage against the Grand Theft Auto IV ads on CTA buses making a story that GTA IV ads are to violent for public streets. Many dwellers in the Chicago area are concerned that these ads are making individuals make the wrong choices. Somehow making a connection that most or all violent actions are created because of violent games. We are pleased to note that not all citizens feel the game is causing mayhem, however, Fox News only talked to one individual on that side of the argument. Even the Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich agrees that the ad campaign should not be allowed. Agreeing that it is just to violent for the public eye. Unfortunately for him, this falls still under the first amendment right to free speech. Lets pray that people will violent wise up to what our parents have/should of taught us at a very young age. Which would be to take responsibility for your own actions and that does not mean blame it on a video game. However, we are disappointed to report that CTA is removing all the GTA IV ads. Take Two's annual meeting on April 17th announced that GTAIV has officially gone gold. Production of the latest installment of Rockstar's most anticipated game is in full swing with trucks rolling sometime next week. Rockstar Social Club has officially opened for pre-registration. Within an hour, fans logged in to secure there membership. As well, everyone who registers before GTAIV's release on April 29th will be automatically entered into a contest. The winner will have there portrait in GTA style. Be sure to head over to Rockstar Social Club and register if you have not done so already.

I've updated the GTA IV media page with screenshots from last weeks previews by IGN etc. that were sent through by Rockstar. The images look pretty damn good, if I say so myself!

In a recent poll taken on the GTAXtreme Forums it was decided that The Leone Family is the best GTA gang to exist thus far. They are just sooooo cool, rolling around in their black sentinels and expensive suits. But, will the Leones even be around in GTA IV? Salvatore was killed in an assassination mission in GTA3. Does this mean that Joey Leone or Tony Cipriani will be taking charge? Hmm, we can only wait and see...
